Folding@home is a project managed by Stanford University that coordinates a distributed computing network utilizing the computational power contributed by individuals. The project focuses on employing mathematical models of protein folding to aid in the search for cures for various illnesses such as Alzheimer's, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and certain types of cancer.

This application serves a monitoring and control function exclusively for active donors participating in the Folding@Home project. Without the essential client software (v7) installed, the application will not have any functionality.

It should be noted that this application does not directly participate in the folding computations. Its primary purpose lies in overseeing and managing Folding@Home systems by utilizing the 3rd party API integrated into the client software v7.

To access the progress of the work units assigned to your systems remotely, it only requires entering the hostname, port, and password for remote access. This app enables users to monitor and control their clients, allowing actions such as stopping, pausing, or completing tasks.

Moreover, the application provides simplified statistics offering a brief snapshot of your folding activities. Additionally, users can email the logfile in case they encounter problems during folding and seek assistance from other users.
